THE TRUTH ABOUT BEING A DREAMER
DREAM ON by MANEESHA GRACE
Have you ever woke up from dream and tried to describe it to someone? When you hear yourself speak you realize how absurd some of it sounds. The locations, the people and even the situations don't always line up or make sense.
I remember a friend joking around and telling me that I was a dreamer. I received it happily, until I realized it wasn't really meant as encouragement. I stewed over it and soaked it in, and started to believe that my dreams were too big.
GOD GIVES US DREAMS FOR A REASON
Just because your dream is too big for someone else, doesn't mean it's too big for God. Actually God is a God of making dreams come true, but don't expect it to always go as you planned...often times it happens in ways we least expect.
When we live with expectancy, hope and dreams, it's not being discontent, it's trusting in God's plan. That desire, that dream, that spark of hopefulness is something beautiful. When we put our trust in God's plan, no dream can compare. We must first rely on His strength, His power and His plan. Hebrews 11:1 says, Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Our dreams may not always make sense, they don't have to. Whatever God has put in your heart, whatever He has spoken to you, don't let that go. Our dreams, no matter how big to us, are small compared to the dreams God has for us. When we live a life surrendered to Him we can live in the fullness and expectancy of God doing great things in and through us.
Being a dreamer is not a limitation, it puts our focus on God's potential in us, it magnifies the possibilities. It doesn't mean that our specific demands or dreams will manifest in the way we expect, but it's holding on to the promise that God will give us exceedingly more than we ask for. When we give our dreams back to God, that's when real beauty emerges.
We all should want to live in a such a way that when God sets a spark in us, it creates a Holy Fire so powerful that nothing can stop it.
We were not meant to live ordinary lives, God created us for the extraordinary!
