THE WAITING GAME
WAITING FOR GOD TO MAKE HIS MOVE
Ever had a time where you are waiting for something to happen? Waiting to hear God speak, to show you a sign or lead you in some sorta direction. Or you've been put into a position where you have to make a tough decision, and now your waiting for an answer on how you should handle it.
Or maybe you already made the decision And now there is just a nothingness. A silence waiting to be broken. Further action waiting to be taken, but you have no idea what that's supposed to be.
When you have a hard decision to make, and your world has turned upside. Or you're going through a season of change, and everything is weighing on the actions you decided to take.
You can be left with a wondering. This big fat question of how will this affect how my future's shaped?
One of the many amazing things about God is that He can show you just how your obedience today will affect you tomorrow. He can reveal the rewards you may receive, depending on how you handle the circumstances you are facing. He can show you. But. He usually doesn't show us read away.
THE PURPOSE IN THE WAITING
I find that it's the waiting game that trips a lot of us up the most, isn't it? It's in that time of unknowing that we panic, doubt, and become fearful and it's in that moment that we are most likely to start to heading down the wrong path.
Specially in this day in age, we are sooo used to getting the answers to our questions so easily and quickly. But unfortunately the same doesn't go for God.
I mean it's understandable, waiting is tough. And not knowing is even worse. But depending on how we choose to think about it, the wait can be an amazing experience and lesson in itself. Because there is SO much to learn in this time of waiting. The wait doesn't have to be a time dread, it can be a time of anticipation & the ultimate way to grow your relationship with God!
THE POWER IN WAITING
There is great power in the kinda faith that comes from trusting that it's all gonna be okay and that God will let it all make sense one day. And that faith is bred to be even greater, because of the waiting God strategically places in certain times in our life.
LIFE WOULD BE SO BORING IF IT WAS EASY
If we just got everything handed to us, what kind of relationship would that breed with our Heavenly Father? It wouldn't be much of one. It's because that time of not knowing gives us something so much greater than having everything work out exactly the way we thought we wanted it to.
Obedience that brings heartache, pushes us to draw nearer to God than if everything went according to plan.
When I look back on the times where I was waiting and wondering what was going to happen, or if it was going to work out. I am overwhelmingly thankful, because each time I look back I see His faithfulness at every turn. And each of those memories is a testimony and reminder that it's Him that I can rely on time and time again.
IT'S ALL WORTH IT IN THE END
God will always show you the purpose in the pain. So know that He will make it all work together in the end. Maybe in the way you've always hoped, maybe in a way far greater than you originally thought. Either way, rejoice! And be glad. The suffering is actually a gift. And obedience in the waiting, is always worth it.
